Mortal Blitz

Mortal Blitz is a PSVR rail shooter.

Mortal Blitz is considered by its developers to be an "evolved" form of the arcade game Teratoma: The Last Rebellion, explaining some of the visual similarities between the two games.

Gameplay:

Mortal Blitz is a currently in-development PSVR shooter wherein the player teleports between preset points in the environments to take cover against enemy fire. The player has access to a pistol with infinite ammo as their primary weapon and may choose to wield one in each hand. Throughout the level, the player will also be able to pick up and use a small arsenal of additional guns and grenades. The main gimmick of Mortal Blitz is the introduction of a Dizzy state which allows the player to physically grab a staggered enemy with their telekinetic grip and throw them into the air. From there, the player can shoot the airborne target to recover health and score bonus points.

Mortal Blitz has roughly five enemy types with mild variants of each. The game has no bosses. There are three different difficulties to choose from with only the easiest one being unlocked until the game's first chapter is cleared. This first chapter is the only chapter currently featured in the full retail release of Mortal Blitz. The game also features a wave based survival mode.

Current Development:

Mortal Blitz is currently available on the PSN store despite only having the first chapter available for play. Upon completing this chapter, the player is informed that the game is still in active development and more content will be added at a later date. As such, there is virtually no story in the game's current state.
