Badlands

Take your souped up car to the race track and race increasing difficult courses. This game seems to be influenced game by Super Sprint and Super Cars.

Overview

Badlands was released for the Amiga, Atari ST, C64, Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum in 1990 by Atari Games. Similar to the Super Sprint games, the players compete on small race courses from the top-down perspective. The setting however is a post-apocalyptic world and this concept is continued by introducing weapons which can slow down other cars. Furthermore, the game includes an upgrade shop feature, where you can buy and upgrade your engine, weapons and turbo booster. The game features 8 race tracks with four cars competing in each race. The game also supports a two-player mode.
