Sonic X

An edutainment spin-off of the Sonic the Hedgehog series made for the Leapster. It's notable for being the only game in the series to be based on the Sonic X anime.

Overview

Sonic X is a 2D edutainment platformer developed by Torus and published by LeapFrog for the Leapster Learning Game System series in North America (in 2005) and Europe (in 2007).

An edutainment spin-off of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, Sonic X is the only game in the series to be based on the 2003-2006 anime of the same name and features voice acting from the English localization.

In the game, players control Sonic the Hedgehog as he (along with his friend Chris) tries to rescue his friends and defeat Dr. Eggman's "greatest inventions ever": his Math Robots. In the main platforming segments, Sonic (with his sprites taken from Sonic the Hedgehog 3) must navigate the environment while collecting rings and solving basic math problems. Some touch-based mini-games are also played at certain points in each level.
