In D-bug, players step into the role of Charlie Fix-it, a computer repair specialist who lives inside a computer system. The game combines two distinct gameplay elements: a strategic board game called Gotcha! where players compete against the computer to capture their own pieces (butterflies or sailboats), and a computer repair simulation that triggers when system errors occur. During repair sequences, players must diagnose problems by observing symptoms, navigate through computer components, and replace malfunctioning parts. As repairs are completed successfully, the game progressively introduces more complex technical challenges, teaching children basic computer troubleshooting concepts through hands-on gameplay.
