Serious Sam: Double D is a 2D side-scrolling shooter developed by Mommy's Best Games and published by Devolver Digital and Croteam for the PC (via Steam) on August 30, 2011. Part of the Serious Sam Indie Series, Serious Sam: Double D takes the original franchise's 3D over-the-top shooting gameplay to 2D, while adding a unique "gun stacking" concept (in which Sam "Serious" Stone can carry and fire up to six weapons simultaneously) and new ridiculous enemies (such as the Vuvuzelators, mutant stacks of anthromorphic pancakes with vuvuzelas attached to them).
