Deluxe Space Invaders

Originally called Space Invaders Part II in Japan, this is the first sequel to the coin-munching hit Space Invaders. This game is notable for introducing the concept of a cut-scene.

Taito's original Japanese release, Space Invaders Part II, used a color monitor supporting RGB and a color generator board producing 8 colors on screen. Midway's North American version replaced the RGB monitor with a simple color overlay.

A version with increased difficulty which gave out money prizes for performance called "Prize Space Invaders" was released in 1990.
