Dizzy: The Ultimate Cartoon Adventure was the first in the Dizzy series of games which would spawn many more Europe-wide bestselling titles.

Dizzy was the first in a long series of games developed by Philip and Andrew Oliver and Published by Codemasters. It was released in 1986 on the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum and the Amstrad CPC. It featured the character Dizzy, an egg with hands and feet. Dizzy's role in this first game was to search the kingdom for specific items in order to create a potion to help defeat the evil wizard Zaks.

Dizzy would roll his way across numerous screens collecting items and trying to avoid the various obstacles and creatures in his way as well as solve puzzles.
