The E1 first arrived on Viennese streets in 1966, and while similar in appearance to their Type E predecessors, they came equipped with a much powerful motor. 338 of these iconic trams made the Vienna their own for over forty years, with the last E1 tram withdrawn from service in 2022. The E1 could also be found in Rotterdam and across Silesia in Poland.
The GT8N is a renovation of the GT6, having been equipped with a low-floor middle section and converted to eight-axles trams in the 1990s. Well-regarded for its reliability, the GT8N has been seen in many cities outside of Mannheim, including Lodz in Poland, and Helsinki in Finland.
