Endless Nights is a roguelike rpg that lets you play your way, with a skills-based system that recognizes the actions of your character in the game and develops those skills. This means you can choose to use a sword, or a mace, use magic or pray to the gods, and you never need worry about picking a class and no visiting trainers to 'learn' new skills. You just play the game and the skills you use will increase as you play, and when you've learned enough of a skill, new skill trees and abilities will become available. Endless Nights is a role-playing game in the rogue-like tradition, which means randomized adventure areas, random dungeons and a different adventure each time you play the game. The TitanFire RPG system used in the game provides for strategic combat by putting an emphasis on defense and on developing strategies to break through the defenses of your opponent during combat. Avant-Garde Discerning Paralleler has a total of 16 selectable stages and 2 difficulty levels. There are 2 player teams to choose from: Ran Yakumo with Chen, and Seiga Kaku with Kyouko Kasodani. Each team has a different play style and a different set of stages to play. Scoring revolves around the "Connect Bonus" system. Collecting special Connect items will start a time limit, during which any point items collected by the player will be added to the bonus. The time limit can be extended via Connect items and grazing. Should the player hold on to the bonus until the boss arrives, its value will be added to each of the boss's spell card bonuses, resulting in a vastly higher score. A high cumulative score is required to unlock the more difficult stages in the game. The most recent version of the game (1.10) also includes a series of standalone "Boss Challenges". The Light is a short adventure game with a horror theme. The protagonist starts inside a large, abandoned building that can be freely explored. No background information about the character or the desolate environment is given. The game is entirely in Russian, as well as the text in-game, but the main character speaks English during a few points in the game. By exploring the surroundings some puzzles need to be solved to progress. The character can walk around and jump. A flashlight is carried and it is on at all times. When an item of interest is found or an action can be done, such as opening a door, this is achieved by walking towards it and no additional keys are needed.
