    Evolution: Eternal Dungeons

    2000

    Role-playing (RPG)
    Neo Geo Pocket Color
Evolution: Eternal Dungeons is a conventional turn-based role-playing video game for the Neo Geo Pocket Color. It was released in Japan and the United Kingdom in 2000. Probably due to the large amount of text, separate cartridges were produced for the different regions it was released in, rather than allowing the player to choose the game language on the same cartridge. While the Japanese version is somewhat common, the English version is not. This game is essentially a port of its three dimensional counterpart for the Dreamcast. To accommodate downscaling for the Neo Geo handheld, the 3D graphics of the original were replaced with top-down two-dimensional maps and 2-D sprites. Both the Japanese and UK version of the game were released in hard plastic boxes rather than soft cardstock. The English translation has frequent grammar and spelling errors.

    Nige-ron-pa

    2000

    Role-playing (RPG)
    Neo Geo Pocket Color
nige-ron-pa is a turn-based RPG set in the world the game was named after featuring humans, elves, demons and other creatures co-existing with each other. Players take control of an elf and a catgirl who are about to take the exam and become workers. After passing the exam and obtaining a license, players can accept various tasks which will reward them with money and Worker points. The worker points serve both as the game's reputation system and are an integral part of the game's license system. They determine who would accept to be a part of the player's party, as well as allow players to get new licenses, which works in a similar way to Final Fantasy's job system. Equipping different licenses will unlock different spells for players to use in battle. The more worker points players get, the more likely it is that additional characters can be hired.

Blaze & Blade Busters is the sequel to Blaze & Blade Eternal Quest and use the same graphics engine. But this time the game wasn't released outside Japan, there were originally plans for a PAL release but for some reason it never happened. Even though Blaze & Blade Busters uses the same engine as Eternal Quest it has some huge differences: - For example, there are some very interesting features on the start menu alone. You can do things that you cannot on Eternal Quest, such as renaming the items in your inventory to whatever you want and even battling friends in a duel. - Character creation is also interesting. When you have assigned your attribute points it adds them up and assigns you level based on how many points you have. So, you may start off at around level 50. The game will not only give you level 50 stats but it will also give you up to level 3 spells if you have chosen a sorcerer/priest/fairy, etc. - The game itself also plays very different. You begin at the Roadside Inn, but instead of walking arou
