The fifth game in the Atelier franchise and the second of the two Gramnad games.
This story takes place 20 years after the first game. Both games were re-released on the PlayStation Portable with additional content and endings.
The games have never been released outside of Japan.
When included in the Mother 1+2 bundle, Mother (Earthbound Beginnings in the West) received an exclusive equippable item, the Easy Ring, available from the start, which makes the game more balanced (therefore easier than the original version).

This is an updated version of RPG Max that includes a folder with over 25 great clipart images - including heros, backgrounds, friends and foes. The battle graphics have been improved, along with a cleaner layout, and several bugs have been fixed from previous versions. This is still novelty software, though, and probably could not be used to create a commercial game. This should be used as a practice tool for those starting off in game programming.
