It's parts a visual novel, parts a strategic card-based auto battler where making sure your "Apostles" (the characters that you can recruit) are thoroughly equipped with advantages before and during battles matters a lot. You do that before battles by levelling them up, equipping them with materials, serving them food, and increasing their stats through a "skill tree"-like board. Resources for each of these tasks can be earned through various game modes. During battles, between each round of combat, you're given sets of 3 cards to choose from, each of them with varying costs to a currency that replenishes after each round. While combat occurs, if your Apostle gets equipped with 4 stars through the use of your cards, you'll also be able to activate their senior skill (which will cool down after use for a set amount of time).WitchSpring R
