New features in this version included over 200 licensed fight songs, 3D cheerleaders and 144 different schools. Dynasty mode was enhanced with the ability to redshirt a player and schedule non-conference games before each season. Trophies and awards, modeled after real-life college football awards, was another feature new to this version. Players could win trophies by playing games and could add them to a personal collection which is shown off in a trophy room. These awards include the Heisman, Coach of the Year and Bowl-specific trophies. The game featured 23 different rivalry trophies that were created to represent their real-life counterparts. The game has all phases of the world cup and the 32 national teams are in the game, but football players have a fake names, and haven't the characteristics of their real-life counterparts. The game can be played with friendly matches or a full world cup. There are 4 stadiums and matches have fast gameplay: there are no injuries, shooting goes very quickly, and tackling is easy. The ball can be passed in three ways: short, long and ahead of a player. If a player doesn't have the ball, he can make a tackle or a serious foul. Strategically the team's formation can be altered and players can be substituted. The game is in full 3D and matches are conducted in varying weather conditions and different times of day.
