Mission: Scarlet Stars is a free-to-play Visual Novel inspired by mystery games such as Danganronpa & the Ace Attorney series, along with elements from games with similar setups such as Your Turn To Die and the Zero Escape series; with regards to its status as a Danganronpa fangame, M:SS is set in its own universe with an entirely separate story & mechanics to that of the canon games. While certain elements of the canon games may be carried over as and when they fit the story we have planned, we have no plans to follow plot elements or recurring trends purely because they were present within the originals.
