Freedoom is a project aiming to create open content for the free and open source software Doom engine. The project distributes three IWAD files: the two single-player campaigns named Freedoom: Phase 1 and Freedoom: Phase 2, and FreeDM, which contains a collection of deathmatch levels. The project presents itself as complementary to the free and open source code of the Doom engine released by id Software in 1997 under the GNU GPL license. The content is licensed under the permissive 3-clause BSD license. Shooters Solitude is a classic bullet hell game in which the player pilots a small ship tasked with eliminating successive waves of enemies that appear from the top of the screen. Each level concludes with a challenging boss encounter. The game's weapon system is based on a color-coded cross-grid mechanic. Defeating enemies of a specific color increases the power of the corresponding weapon, and the player can switch between weapon types at any time. A combo system enhances gameplay by allowing the player to gain additional power and speed depending on the combos executed.
