Sunlust: The Way We Remember It is a 32-map [CITATION NEEDED] megawad where we at Broken Lamp Records made tribute to our favourite iwad, I mean megawad, Sunlust by Ribbiks and... and... fuck, who was the other guy? fuuuuck. I'm so sorry. I don't remember. fuckkk I'm so sorry. Anyway, these maps are all faithful recreations of each Sunder map purely from memory, with absolutely no creative liberties taken! However, our memories are not that great. For instance, we didn't remember what complevel Scythe 2 was, so we just went with the funniest number we could think of (21). Turns out this number is only 10 off from the actual complevel so we didn't do that bad! These maps are extremely similar in gameplay and quality [CITATION NEEDED] to the original Speed of Doom, so you know what to expect. 2x2 is an MBF21 community project hosted by brendondle, and is the sequel to 1x1! Once again, the concept is very simple: the maps only use 2 textures and 2 flats, with the exception of a single switch texture and F_SKY (which was only allowed to be used if a texture was transferred to it!). Double the textures, double the flats, and double the fun! The wad features 24 mbf21-compatible maps made by various authors. The difficulty curve is as steep as a mountain, though difficulty settings are implemented and HMP or HNTR are strongly recommended for first playthroughs. Additionally, many of the maps, especially the later ones, get really long. It is absolutely not recommended to marathon this wad, unless you intentionally want to burn yourself out.
