    On November 18, 2004 Konami Digital Entertainment of America released Dance Dance Revolution ULTRAMIX 2 on the Xbox in the United States. To encourage sales, they released a limited edition music CD featuring songs from the game. These "exclusive music samplers" are available only to those who reserve the game before its release, typically at a GameStop or EB Games retail outlet.[1] The CD contains tracks taken directly from the game as well as unique remixes done by Konami's in-house artists. Because of Dance Dance Revolution's musical nature the music found in the game and on the CD feature a broad range of musical styles. Known to Konami as V-RARE SOUNDTRACK-4 USA, the V-RARE moniker had first been used by Konami to release similar albums in Japan to commemorate Bemani game releases there and still are to this date are.     The third home version of the long running drum game Taiko no Tatsujin (A series known as Drum Master in the west). It was the last game in the home series to feature Arcade, Battle and Survival Modes. Three new minigames were added as a bonus. The game is played by hitting the red and blue circle that move from right to left as they overlap with the target market. The red circle signals that you should hit the centre of the drum while the blue means you should hit the rim. The game features 39 songs, 5 of which are secret and needs to be unlocked by playing.

    American Idol is a rhythm game based on the reality TV singing competition of the same name. Players can create characters of either gender, choosing from several character templates, and then customizing them with body size, skin color, and one of three singing voices per gender. Created characters can then be taken through the game's various modes. In the main Competition mode, players move through different stages patterned after the TV series, from auditions to shows with a live audience and hopefully the finals. Between performances, outfit, hair style and color and make up can be customized, since not only the singing but also the style will be judged.

    In Superstar Dance Club, players control 18-year old Suzy as she strives to become the Super Star Dance Club Champion of Tokyo by perfecting her rhythmic dance skills during 21 stages at various clubs. By earning a high passing grade in each stage, new stages are unlocked and Suzy earns money (chips) that determine which of the multiple endings are achieved at the end of the game.
