Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is a special promotional cartridge created for the Sega Genesis by Paramount Pictures to promote the then-upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film. The cartridge was distributed to content creators on 21 November 2024, to promote the film and celebrate the release of advance tickets on 25 November 2024. Along with being a fully functional Sega Genesis game, the cartridge also includes a cheat code that, when entered, reveals the release date for the final trailer. As a result, this marked the first time since Sonic 3D Blast (1996) that an official Sonic entry for the system was released.Tip
