The Sega Mega Drive/Genesis port of Valis III was released in March 1991 in Japan and later that year in North America. This version has most of the cinematic cutscenes removed. Several levels were removed as well, and a new one was added to this version, while the remaining levels are more similar to each other.
The Mega Drive/Genesis remake exhibits a gameplay system more similar to later games in the Valis series, particularly Valis III. It has the same story and basic genre as the original first game in the series; however, it is a different game with different locations, enemies, bosses and new cutscenes.
Sonic 3 & Knuckles Battle Race is a competitive 2-player romhack of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. A creative use of technical limitations, the players are put into Sonic 3 & Knuckles' stages- however, the camera only follows the player who's the furthest ahead. When the camera scrolls past the other player, the former wins a point and the latter respawns. It's heavily inspired by the older Sonic 2 Battle Race, bringing polish and additions to the game formula, and putting it in Sonic 3's more complex levels. Note: this game is 2-player only, and it is unrelated to Sonic 3 & Knuckles' "competition" mode, which features exclusive levels.
In 1995, Sega Genesis port of Ocean's The Flintstones was released exclusively via the Sega Channel. Due to it's limited release, the port is mostly considered lost, with the only playable build existing being an early prototype build that was dumped December 31st, 2019. The prototype only features 2 levels and no sound.
