star 4.8While flying his plane, Tails discovers a small island and lands to investigate. While initially appearing to be uninhabited, he eventually comes upon an old woman. She declares herself to be the great Wendy Witchcart, and claims the island and everything on it as her own, threatening to transform any dissidents into crystal. She then heads off with her henchmen, and Tails, determined to stop her, chases after them. It is one of two handheld games on the Game Gear to feature Sonic's sidekick Miles "Tails" Prower as the main character. The game follows the adventures of Tails as he tries to save an island from Witchcart, who claims to be able to turn dissenters into crystals with her magic. It was originally released on 28 April 1995 as an exclusive game to the Japanese market. However, Tails' Skypatrol later saw an overseas release as it was included as an unlockable minigame in the Nintendo GameCube's Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut, and was re-released as one of the featured games in Sonic Gems Collection.Super Columns

Sylvan Tale follows the typical action-adventure game formula: The player controls a character who must solve puzzles, fight enemies, and talk to non-player characters in order to acquire special powers and items that will allow him to unlock new areas of the game world and solve the puzzles within. The handheld version of the console versions is along the same lines. It does feature sports-related questions as the main bulk of the game where the player answers questions in three rounds using the D-Pad to spell out answers. However, it does not feature digitized contestants, studio or the host Alex Trebek, though it does feature a photo likeness of him for intros. Instead it features a more cartoonish look without sports-themed contestants and less questions than the console versions. It does feature a two-player option allowing friends to compete head-to-head on the same Game Gear, but only allows the player to compete against one computer opponent as opposed to two as in other versions.
