Manggis is an arena survival roguelite set in a Southeast Asian night market in 1997. The player controls Manggis, an unsold mangosteen armed with a frying pan and a bottle blaster, who must survive thirty nights against waves of rats, ants, cockroaches, stray cats, macaques, seagulls and dogs. The blaster aims and fires automatically, the frying pan swings at nearby enemies, and the player moves, dashes and switches between ten kinds of fruit ammunition held in a revolving drum. A boss appears every third night, nine mini-bosses and a final boss on night thirty.
