PachiPara DL is the first PS3 release and the first downloadable title in Irem's long-running pachinko simulation series. It features faithful 3D recreations of two pachinko machines made by Sanyo Bussan: CR Hyper Umi Monogatari in Carib MTA and CR Hyper Umi Monogatari in Carib MTB. There are two modes available: Tsūjō (Normal) mode allows the player to modify a wide range of settings for each machine, while Jissen (Battle) mode challenges the player to win as many balls as possible on the default settings with a limited starting pool and time limit. Scores from Jissen mode could be uploaded to a national leaderboard, which was also used for a promotional contest shortly after the game's release. There is also a View mode where the various animations that play on the in-game display can be freely viewed. There is no story mode.
The eccentric Suda51 harnesses the power of PS3 for a bizarre action/adventure inspired the work of existentialist writer Franz Kafka. In an unusual town full of odd locals, your stranded character must explore the town and its castle to find a way out, using only his carried torch to light his way and to fend off the unexpected and unexplainable horrors that await. Advanced new lighting and graphic techniques are used to impress upon you the feeling of fear and loneliness (the tite "Kurayami" means "Darkness" in Japanese) as you venture through to the end of your quest. Kurayami was cancelled before it was ever released.
Quizball: Goal! is a quiz arcade football game. You control a team of football players during a match where success hangs on both your gaming skills and your football knowledge.
Every time you want your football players to do something in the game, like passing the ball, shooting to score, slide tackling an opponent, and so on, you need to answer a quiz question correctly. If you do, he is successful. If not, the opponent gets a chance to take control of the ball.

Horse racing simulators are geared towards an incredibly narrow niche market. Aspiring jockeys who also have a passion for console gaming are a rare breed, so Koei’s biggest challenge with G1 Jockey 4 2008 is convincing the wider audience to saddle up. Skipping those tedious tutorials and diving straight in is always tempting, but in this case inadvisable. The training section is reasonably comprehensive and essential to anyone actually wanting to progress with this one. Care is taken to introduce the player to every aspect of the game, but there is great deal of information to absorb both on an off the track. Constant reference to that instruction manual is inevitable when you start off on the long arduous journey that is story mode.
Developed by Biodroid, Replika was announced as a third-person action/strategy hybrid with cyberpunk influences, puzzle solving and a female cyborg protagonist. It was planned as a downloadable game for PSN and was said to feature full 3D stereoscopic support.
SingStar: SuomiHitit is a karaoke game exclusively released in Finland. There are no changes to the gameplay formula: player(s) sing into a microphone and the game gives points based on the performance. The only basis of assessment is if the correct note is hit with the correct timing; the sung words or octave does not play into the result.
