Also known by the unofficial titles of Punch-Out!! Gold and Punch-Out!! Special, with the in-game title of simply Punch-Out!!, recently released on the Japanese Nintendo Switch Online as Punch-Out!!: Shouhin-ban (Prize Version), this was the first released version of Punch-Out!! for the NES/Famicom, which was released in Japan, as a prize for the participants of the official NES Open Tournament Golf (Golf Tournament US Course) competition. You control a knight with a sword that can swing high or low, and you fight creatures that can hit you or shoot things at you. Along the way you gain a shield that can block projectiles and can increase your armor/sword strength by going into rooms (including secret rooms) to collect powerups. You are usually limited to a single background in Family BASIC. Fisraduth uses darkness to hide portions of the background to give you the feeling of multiple rooms. A platformer in which the player has to guide the characters from the film with each of them having their own abilities. The plot follows that of the 1939 movie. Many of the graphics are ripped from numerous other games. The title screen bears a strong resemblance to Castle of Dragon's intro. Barza from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger is used in the cutscenes, the "To Green Castle" signs are taken from Mickey Mousecapade, the "Good luck!" message in the opening story being taken from Crossfire, the windows in the first level are likely re-edits of those from Hummer Team's Aladdin pirate, and Willy from Rockin' Kats shows up several times in the ending sequence. As well as this, the mushroom enemy is taken from Don Doko Don 2 and the small one-eyed green blobs that the frog spits at you are the aliens from one of the bosses in Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers for NES, while one more enemy is from Little Samson. Kyuukyoku Harikiri Koushien is a baseball game for the Famicom, not unlike any of the others. The main drawing point with this one is that there are close to 100 teams you can choose from. Plus, the traditional baseball stats are not used; rather each player has a set rating for strength and speed, and that is all you get to go by.
