The Legend of Beowulf is an action adventure game that has been developed primarily for younger audiences. The plot loosely follows the famous poem telling the adventures of the titular Scandinavian warrior. The player is provided a more accessible adaptation of this work, focusing on selected events portrayed in a fairy tale style. The action of the game takes place in the 6th century AD, and the protagonist's main objective is locating and defeating the beast called Grendel. In the next phase of the game, after the official coronation of Beowulf as King of Denmark, the goal is to face the mother of the defeated monster. In story mode you will play through the story of the movie which takes you from the stages of Los Angeles to your home town of Crowley Corners. You also have to help Travis build a chicken house and find missing items. In between you have concerts where you will do dance moves, play keyboard, drums, guitar and sing with a microphone. The performance part is done by pressing keys or buttons in the correct order. Before starting the story mode you will have to complete a short tutorial where you will learn all the moves and the instruments.
