We are given a list of four basic elements: Air, Earth, Fire, and Water. By combining them in pairs, you can discover new elements. Or you might not—only some combinations actually work. You need good intuition so you don’t waste time. It’s a simple game. But only at first glance. Half of the list can be crafted quickly through trial and obvious combinations with “Life,” like “Swamp + Life = Bacteria,” or with “Human”: “Human + Airplane = Pilot.” Another part consists of easter eggs, for example: “Robot + Manga = Giant humanoid robot,” and then combining it with “Weapon” and “Life” gives you “Evangelion.” Usually, when a new game appeared, everyone would finish it in a week and quickly forget about it. But Alchemist captured people’s minds for a long time. Inside a Dead Skyscraper is an experimental game that also serves as a music video game for the song The Building by Jesse Stiles. The developers pose it as an answer to the proliferation of music and rhythm games like Guitar Hero, that capitalize on already successful music to generate more royalties for the music industry. This title aims to tie independent music and independent games. Based on Stiles' brief tenure as a videographer in the partially destroyed buildings surrounding the World Trade Center site, this game recreates that moment with a character in a hazmat suit who is given a device by a colleague. He can then fly around the scenery and read the thoughts of the different people at the site, while everything else appears to be frozen in time. Mortal Kombat Outworld Assassins is a fan made game based on Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero game, but with a lot of fan made plot stuff. In this game you play as Sub-Zero, Scorpion or Noob Saibot, and it's a prequel story, that tells the origin of those 3 characters before the tournament. And like i said above, the story is fan made, and thus everything that you see here is made up. The gameplay is basically in beat'em up style, where you running around different locations, beating up bad guys and fighting with bosses. But, there is some extra stuff to it, like you can use some super moves and special moves, and also you can do a fatalities on bosses and enemies when they are low on health. The Hidden Continent: Column of the Maya is a hidden object adventure game. Apart for looking for the various hidden items, the player often has to interact with the scenery to open drawers, use items from the inventory and also solve logical puzzles. The built-in hint system recharges regularly and usually is very helpful. Sometimes it even allows to skip the whole puzzle entirely, though it doesn't apply for the hidden object locations nor for the final puzzle. Most of the hidden object screens are followed by mini-games, usually based on spotting differences.
