    N-Gage
This game tells the tale of yet another adventure for the Ghost Recon group, an elite team of military soldiers. The story and game are completely different from those of the game with the same name published by Ubisoft for the Playstation 2. In line with the franchise, this is a realistic first-person tactical shooter in which you are given command of a handful of soldiers which you must use and direct to accomplish a series of missions. This particular game offers storyline-type missions which can be played in either single player mode or co-operative multiplayer. It also offers competitive multiplayer game modes: deathmatch, survival and defend. Story: The year is 2010 and the situation in Bogota explodes. Explosions, gun fights and general mayhem trouble major Colombian cities as the ever-fragile cease-fire between guerrilla groups and right-wing paramilitaries has just been broken. The driving force behind the violence has been identified as the MFLC (Movimiento de las Fuerzas Libres Colombianas), a paramili

    Ghosthunter

    2003

    Shooter
    PlayStation 2
    star 7
Following the adventures of Lazarus Jones on his first day on the Detroit Police Force, Ghosthunter sees the plucky rookie called in to investigate a disturbance in an old abandoned school, the scene of a grisly (and ultimately unsolved) mass-murder. Heading out with his senior partner Anna Steele, Lazarus sets off on what he believes is a routine call but, in the true spirit of survival horror, it's not long before the crime-bothering duo are knee-deep in ectoplasm. After much bickering between the pair, Jones somehow inadvertently sets free a horde of ghosts contained in the school's secret paranormal research lab. An errant apparition materialises, grabs Anna, and drags her away with him to a dark, eerie place (the school canteen, perhaps?). One of the wayward spooks (Astral) also manages to 'bond' with Jones, giving him the gift of supernatural sight, allowing him to see dead people. Nice. Picking up the reins as Laz, you'll start out in search of Anna, and attempt to figure out the mysteries buried deep in the

    Nintendo GameCube
    star 8.3
An original roleplaying game for Nintendo GameCube from the team behind Xenosaga. The game makes heavy use of cards for everything from fighting battles to purchasing items. Cards are actually a central part of the story as well, as they are holders for "Magnus" which is short for "Magna Essence." Magnus is the true nature of all things throughout the world, including swords, magic spells and even apples that are gathered in the town in which your adventures start out. A real item can be turned into Magnus form and stored in a blank card. It can then be taken out from the card and will turn back into real form. Features detailed CG cutscenes to tell the story and turn-based battle sequences.
