While the towns are text-only, the rest of the game is an impressive programming featfor it's time, the overworld has a handy mini-map and the island’s underground is a dungeon with multiple entry points that’s over 250 x 250 squares. You will face monsters based on the D&D rulebooks: Mind Flayers, Frost Giants, Flesh Golems and even the demon prince Demogorgon.
