Eons have passed... yet despite apparent annihilation in the original ARKANOID game, Dimension-controlling force DOH has come back to life, and occupying the huge spacecraft ZARG, has entered our universe. ARKANOID-type spacefighter MIXTEC runs through long forgotten computer data until it finds the answer to this threat... VAUS 2 is launched and speeds towards the threatening alien presence, before it can extract its revenge... "Arkanoid II"!
Unlike the original game, the sequel was released only in Japan.
Arkanoid is the official Coco version of the arcade hit of the same name. It is a Bustout type game, except much more advanced. Steve Bjork brought out a Bustout style game from his own company called Bash a little bit earlier, that introduced the bricks that have to be hit more than once, indestructable bricks, and brick that drop special energizers (like fat paddle, slow ball speed, magnetic paddle, etc.), but he didn't take it as far as the official Arkanoid, until this version sold on cartridge through Radio Shack came out. Then, he added the aliens coming onto the playing board from the top, and the laser powerup where you can shoot the blocks.
"Take control of a treasure hunting diver in this exciting game of deep sea exploration. Select your dive location, explore to discover many species of fish, and maybe even find the key to a treasure chest for big rewards. But keep an eye on your air supply and watch out for the shark!
"Can you explore all the island locations, recover the treasure and discover all the species lurking down below?"
Nelly lost all the balls she played with. Tommy proposed to help her.
He will need to explore the room-mazed environment to find all the balls. Each room will prepare dangers for him, and Tommy will have to avoid them by running and jumping.
V-Pong, as the name implies, is pretty much a vertically played, one player game of Pong (or Breakout in screen orientation, but minus destroying any blocks).
