beatmania 7thMIX is a rhythm game developed by Konami. It is the twelfth game in the beatmania series and is part of the BEMANI franchise.
The game is played with a controller with one turn table and 5 keys, three white and two black. On the screen you will see bars moving from the top to bottom in columns representing each of the keys and the turntable. When the bars reach the judgement line it is time to scratch.
7thMIX allow the player to have separate lanes for the two black keys. Instead of in between the lanes of the white keys. This makes the lanes much closer to the beatmania IIDX series. 1-Turn scratches are introduces, where you need to turn the turntable exactly once to get the best score.
MANIAC has been renamed back to ANOTHER again. All singles and double charts has been re-rated and for the first time in the series the rate for the single chart and the double chart are rated separately.
The game has 27 songs returning from 6thMIX and introduced an additional 32 songs for a total of 59 songs.
[Unreleased 1983] Maneuver down an abstract tunnel of colored light without crashing. Succeed and go on to a musical memory game: notes are randomly played that you must then play back using the hand controller keypad. Score points for how quickly you duplicate the series of notes. Then its back into the tunnel and on to a longer series of notes in the memory game.
Russ Lieblich did the sounds and music for a number of games at Mattel Electronics (including Snafu) before going to Activision where he designed this game. Peter Kaminski, who programmed River Raid, helped Russ with the programming. It was finally released on the Intellivision Rocks! CD.

As with the other APPEND titles, the songlist is mainly focused on brining over songs from beatmania 7thMIX. 32 songs were brought over and 6 song got LONG versions. 188 songs return from the previous entry in the series. The song list has a total of 225 songs.

GuitarFreaks and DrumMania are rock-oriented music video games. In GuitarFreaks, the player uses a controller to simulate the playing of an electric guitar, while in DrumMania, the player must hit the drum parts when the notes reach the bottom of the screen in order to fill in missing drum parts from a song.

The ANOTHER difficulty has been renamed to MANIAC. HARD mode is no longer a separate mode, but a selection on the song selection screen.Song titles in the selection screen is now colored due to diffuculty, NORMAL is yellow, HARD is red, MANIAC is green. EXPERT+ mode is introduced, featuring extra hard courses.
FREE mode introduced, allowing players a free selection of the music regardless of difficulty. A session is limit to 3 stages instead of NORMAL mode's 4 stages. The modifiers selection is now also available in NORMAL and FREE mode, not only in EVENT mode as in CORE REMIX.

As the name entails, the game focuses on bringing over the songs from beatmania 6thMIX, all 27 new songs from that version were added. Additionally 3 LONG versions of songs was added. 159 old songs return from the previous entry. The total numbe
