Beatmania is the first version of the music video game beatmania IIDX to be released in the United States. It was released by Konami on March 28, 2006, for the PlayStation 2 video game console.
Beatmania IIDX 28 Bistrover is the 28th iteration of the beatmania IIDX series, a spinoff series of the beatmania series and part of the BEMANI franchise.
The game is played on a special controller consisting of 7 pianolike buttons and a turn table. Notes fall down across the screen and when they hit the judgement line it is time to press the button, or turn the turntable.
The Theme of BISTROVER is food and travel, the name itself is a combination of the words Bistro and Rover.
Some new features added to BISTROVER is more statistics and analysis on your results after a song, so you can better get an understanding of how you did. The Pacemaker (which keeps a track of how you are doing during a song) can now tell you how how far you are from a next grade, and updates to a new target during the song.

The focus of the game is to make the ultimate beatmania version, thus a huge amount of songs was brought back. Because of this the game had to make some sacrifices due to memory limitations. Movies are now displayed in a little box with generic animations from the series playing. Only a few songs have unique clips. The miss animations are missing because of this as well.
Detailed judgement information is now present on the side of play, like the one you could enable in 7thMIX. Stealth was added as a modifier.

Beatmania Append 3rdMix Mini is a smaller version of the PlayStation game Beatmania Append 3rdMix, it contains the same features as the main version but only five songs: find out, life goes on, Queen's Jamaica, tribe groove, and wild I/O.
The game came bundled with the soundtrack for the bBeatmania 3rdMix arcade game, titled Beatmania 3rdMix complete.
Since this is an Append release, it needs another Beatmania title to act as a key disc to boot the game.
