  • Cartooners

    1989

    Cartooners

    1989

    DOS
Not exactly a game, but a nice little tool to create animated cartoons. There aren't that many options to play around with, but still enough to create some cool cartoon sequences. Since everything is fairly easy, this one is probably more aimed at kids. Gameplay is like mix-and-match-- just pick the backdrop, cartoons, objects, then add text to the blurbs to make a complete comic-book style panel. Animations are cute, but limited interaction with the characters probably means the program is meant more as a "print kit" than a game.

    DOS
Cavewars is a turn based strategy game that combines elements of several different games of its era. The turn based strategy element mirrors that of Heroes of Might and Magic while the ability to research new units and improve armies is similar to that of Master of Orion. The unique element that separates this game from others is that the battles can take place on a number of different levels of a cave. All may be well on level 1, with both sides having a city there; meanwhile, battles rage every turn on level 3. Randomly generated maps and 8 different races to choose from ensures the same game is never played twice.
  • Deluxe Ski Jump

    1999

    Deluxe Ski Jump

    1999

    Sport Indie Arcade
    DOS
Deluxe Ski Jump is a shareware ski jumping simulation with full 3D graphics and simulated physics. The game contains 16 different hills, which vary in size from the tiny K50 in England to the huge K250 in Slovenia. DSJ also allows for up to 16 players (computer or human controlled) to compete for the World Cup trophy simultaneously, using the same computer. The actual jumping is performed using the mouse buttons (for jumping and landing) and by moving the mouse up and down (to angle your jumper in flight), a system which takes practice to master. There are several factors that affect the outcome of a jump, of which the most important is timing. A poorly timed "take off" will most likely drag you down and force you to land prematurely. Other factors include wind strength and direction as well as a certain knowledge of the hill you're jumping from.

With the money you can buy cars and people for your crime-activities, stocks or immovables. Worth mentioning are the sudden attacks to your competitors. These are little top-down action games.
