The game was developed with the intention of showcasing the interior and exterior of Volvo cars. The game includes a selection of Volvo vehicles: the Volvo C30, S60, S40, 850, 240 Turbo Group A, and the S60 Concept car. Players can drive these cars on two race tracks: the Gothenburg Eco Drive Arena in Sweden and the Autodrome Chaika in Ukraine. "Volvo – The Game" offers several gameplay modes: "Quick Race," "Time Attack" (which includes a ghost car system for players to race against previous lap times), and an online "Competition" mode.
