Elemental Battle Academy is a 3D fighting doujin game and the successor to Magical Battle Arena. The player chooses one of six girl characters and fights against the others or against monsters in missions. Each girl is customizable, for instance for weapon settings. The characters can use hand weapons, including various swords, guns and use special attacks such as E. Attack as a finishing move, E. Burst to release full power capacity and E. Charge for charging, locking and attacking. The battles are set in large, open arenas and the game is played from a third-person perspective from behind the character.

The story follows the protagonist Kei Kirishima and his childhood friend Nozomi Toki who are part of the Cat Photography Club where they take pictures of the cats who have set up a nest close to the school.
