Players can choose from a selection of five species when creating their character, with the ability to start with the arms and legs of any of those species. The player character's statistics are improved by solving puzzles, completing tasks assigned by NPCs (which are usually in the form of mini-games that take place in the same level), and defeating other characters in challenges. "Challenges" are duels where the player must guess whether a given statistic is better than their opponent's. The games are very short: 2 minutes. 4 players incarnating small animals confront each other and try to catch the Kaaarot, in order to temporarily transform into a monster that can eat the other players to score points. Once the effect of the Kaaarot has worn off, another Kaaarot appears, and off they go! Boxes appear regularly on the field: by taking a boxe, the player gets one item out of 4 randomly.
