Dragon Court was a fantasy-themed browser RPG in a medieval setting, which players navigated through simple text descriptions and visuals. The game distinguished itself by its turn-based combat and the imposed daily limit on turns. Adventures involved battling a variety of creatures, with each victory earning them resources and experience to bring them one step closer to reaching the dragon.
Toki no Michishirube is a direct sequel to the first Farland Saga game. It is an anime-style strategy RPG which consists mainly of large strategic battles, taking place on isometric battle fields.
Neorude is a RPG title developed by TechnoSoft in 1997. The gameplay utilizes an RPG style where the player uses a cursor to point characters to move or take action rather than giving out direct commands; in this case Neorude took great advantage of the PlayStation Mouse.
AnEarth Fantasy Stories: The First Volume (エイナスファンタジーストーリーズ ザ・ファーストボリューム) is an RPG for the Sega Saturn. It is based on an earlier PC Engine CD game by Hudson Soft.
PAL is in most ways a traditional Japanese-style role-playing game. The player orders each character in battle, choosing attacks, items, and techniques. Equipment upgrades are represented as scrolls, and techniques can be upgraded as they are used. Kaoru's boyfriend, Yukito is also an excellent cook and can learn a wide variety of recipes to create recovery and assist items for use in and out of battle.

Solid Runner (ソリッドランナー) is a 1997 turn-based role-playing video game developed by Sting Entertainment and published by ASCII Corporation for the Super Famicom. The game was released exclusively in Japan on March 28, 1997, late in the console's life span.
The game takes place in a town known as Solid City, which despite being technologically advanced, is overrun with crime. Very few people dare to challenge the control of the underground mafias and street gangs that threaten the city. While the game has a continuous plot, players are urged to complete individual missions.

BS Ihatovo Monogatari is a downloadable 4-part Soundlink game for the Satellaview that was broadcast in at least 2 distinct runs between its March 2, 1997 release and May 31, 1997. The game is a role-playing game based on the works of Japanese author, Kenji Miyazawa, and its release was intended to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of his birth. The game is a sequel to the 1993 Hecht game for the SNES, Ihatovo Monogatari, earlier-broadcast for the Satellaview as well. Intended as a family-oriented game for all ages, the game makes reference to many classic works of Japanese children's literature.
BS Ihatovo Monogatari incorporates voice narration at the start of each weekly broadcast to provide dramatic performances of Miyazawa's poetry set in Ihatovo. During gameplay, the Soundlink provides sound effects and gameplay hints for players. The game's voice actors were selected by popular vote by readers of Seiyu Zasshi and included Kikuko Inoue, Kouichi
A port of Final Fantasy IV for PlayStation that adds an opening and ending FMV cutscene as well as some gameplay improvements such as the ability to run in dungeons and towns.
It is largely based on the original Japanese release for the Super Famicom but includes some of the changes made in the Final Fantasy IV Easy Type release. Due to the CD-ROM format of PlayStation it has longer load times in comparison to the Super Famicom versions.
The North American version, which is only available as part of the Final Fantasy Chronicles and Final Fantasy Anthology compilations, came with a brand new English localization. Although certain translated lines from the previous localization by Kaoru Moriyama, such as "You spoony bard!", were kept, as they had become fan favorites.
