Catacomb II from 1991 (later renamed The Catacomb for retail release in 1993) is the sequel to the original Catacomb (1990) and predecessor to Catacomb 3D (1991). Featuring much the same gameplay as its predecessor, it mostly builds on it with an extended 30 level campaign. It also adds the ability to save the player's current level position within nine save slots. Catacomb II does not change the game principle of its predecessor. Still, players explore the ruins from a top-down perspective, use their magical powers to fight enemies, and discover hidden passages. Petton Everhail, the most powerful magician in the world is hired to recover an enormous treasure buried deep beneath the ruins of the Kieralon Palace. In X-Men 2: The Fall of the Mutants the player must assemble a team of five X-Men from a selection of fifteen, and eliminate the evil mutants while playing in a top-down RPG-style environment. When battles commence the player has two choices for how the combat takes place: either side-scrolling action, or turn-based RPG-style combat. Shadow Knights is a platform game where you try to complete several levels, such as a village, a cemetery or a castle, before confronting the final boss. On each level, you'll encounter a lot of enemies - initially dogs and ninjas with clubs and bows, but more types of enemies appear later. To defeat them, you can slash at them with your sword. However, your ninja also has magic powers. He can spend this magical energy to toss magical projectiles at the enemies, or to restore his health.
