    Strategy
    Amiga
Brigade is a real-time wargame pitting the player against a computer opponent. Unless you physically pause the game, the computer opponent does not wait for you to move. It thinks and acts on its own, in real time. The game is played on a grid of hexagons, each hex represents an area of 500 meters from side to side. On this mapboard, units maneuver and attack under the control of their respective commanders. Brigade is a scenario-driven game in which the features of the mapboard, the composition of the opposing forces and their goals are dependent on which scenario is being played.

    Brides of Dracula

    1992

    Adventure Arcade
    Amiga
Brides of Dracula is a two-player split-screen game similar to Spy vs. Spy in gameplay. Each player (human or CPU) controls either the vampire hunter Van Helsing or Count Dracula. Van Helsing is summoned to the Bistritz village to kill Dracula and his brides. His goal is to find thirteen tools to kill Dracula, bring them back to Helsing's home and store them in the cupboard. For Dracula, the objective is to create thirteen brides by finding women, biting and leading them back to the crypt, where thirteen coffins are lined up waiting for their recipients. Both characters can be killed by certain hazardous environments and non-player characters (NPCs). Some of these dangers may effect only one of the characters (ghouls only attack Van Helsing, while priests and villagers only harm Dracula). Each player starts with three lives. Collected objects and women are displayed at the bottom of the character window, along with the health bar. The game takes place in the church cemetery and the adjacent village.

    Strategy

War has been declared! During a major Soviet naval exercise, 50% of the ballistic missile subs are deployed to sea and a limited nuclear strike is launched on American targets. At 3:58 AM NORAD picks up the first incoming nuclear warheads, targeted for US Air Bases, with less than 6 minutes to impact. As Chief Target Planner at the Strategic Air Command it is your responsibility to launch a limited second strike.. The targets selected should demonstrate the resolve of your political leadership, while not escalating the conflict. A controlled conflict, in part, is one in which the participants use or threaten to use military force, including nuclear weapons on a scale restricted enough to avoid a general war. This concept of Escalation Control is the strategic policy embodied in the Presidential Directive 59 (PD-59) which states that the U.S. should be able to initiate the limited or selected use of strategic nuclear weapons, and to control the escalation process such that democracy would continue to "preva

    Blade

    1997

    Role-playing (RPG) Adventure
    Amiga
For centuries the essence of Quaal, once a powerful and terrible demon, has been trapped inside the sword that once killed him. After a volcanic eruption, however, the blade is stolen by one of Quaal's dark servants intent upon reviving their lord. Four heroes are called upon to retrieve the blade before it's too late. Blade is a turn-based role playing game played from an isometric perspective. However its control scheme is more similar to turn-based tactical games of the time like X-COM, in that each turn is strictly divided into a player phase and an enemy phase, and each character has a limited amount of action points per turn. There is no character creation but the four heroes can be picked from a range of eight, each of a particular class. There is a form of economy as the party starts with a limited sum of gold which can be deposited in a bank and used to purchase equipment. Combat is extremely simplistic, as the player only selects the monster that will be automatically attacked if within range.
