What if Nintendo had stuck with some of their original material while creating the Super Mario World we know and love today? Well, this hack is my take on how it may have been!
This hack was made for a contest on a website. There are as many levels as the first world of SMW (because that was one of the rules of the contest.) This hack is sorta Yoshi's Island-themed too.
Peach is hungry! But she won't eat a hot dog without ketchup, so Mario must go on an epic adventure to get some ketchup for Princess Peach. Things don't go according to plan, as there are some obstacles that Mario must face during his adventure.
Hack made for the C3 event

The hackers on steroids known as 4chan return! Super Mario /v/orld: New Vegas is the third installment of 'Super Mario World' collab hacks from the /v/ board. From May 1st 2021 to June 24th 2021, 94 levels were submitted. As with previously, SM/V/3's goal was to make fun and well designed levels themed around the absurd, disgusting and somewhat beautiful nature of the anonymous imageboard. Player Discretion is advised.
This romhack boasts dozens of amazing additions and features, including, but not limited to:
A brand new map with 17 new levels, new bosses, music, backgrounds, enemies and more!
A 3+ page pre-game menu to customize your experience!
Use the SNES Mouse, Super Scope, NTT Data Pad or Multi-Tap for a new way to play!
Play with 2/3/4/5 people, AI controlled teammates, or ships all controlled by player 1!
Wireframe mode, grid lines, palette changes and more!
Customize your player ship and crosshair style with new crosshair functionality!
A full model test viewer, BGM/SFX test menu and Super Scope Calibration screen!
Well it looks like Retro and Mario are both back at it again and it appears that Retro will be having some new friends join him in an epic race for victory. It looks like both Mario and Retro really mean business now.
This a compilation of the levels from the 2008 Vanilla Level Design Contest (VLDC)
It contains 50 levels which you can play in any order you wish - all of them are open from the start.
For the past seven years, SMW Central has held a vanilla level design contest every spring. “Vanilla level design” refers to using only Lunar Magic to create your level - that is, no custom blocks, no custom sprites, and no custom code of any sort. They eventually began allowing people to use custom music, but this is not factored into their score. Once they finished designing their level, they would submit an IPS file, it would get judged + ranked, and that would be the end of it. This year, however, S.N.N. decided to assign resources (secondary exits, Map16 slots, etc) to users with the intention of putting all of their levels into a ROM and essentially creating a full hack out of it. The hack features 82 submitted entries and 4 switch palaces, which makes a grand total of 86 levels for you to beat. All of the levels are open from the start - you can play them in any order you’d like. To help you keep track of your progress, the game autosaves on the world map and beating a level will give you an “M” in
This is SMW Central's third completed collaboration hack based off of the 2015 Vanilla Level Design Contest (VLDC.) It contains 95 levels which you can play in any order you wish - all of them are open from the start except for the secret world, which is unlocked by completing every exit in the game.
