In this arcade companion game to Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and the second arcade installment of the Mario & Sonic series. As with the Nintendo Switch version, the game takes place in Tokyo, Japan, home of the 2020 Summer Olympics, and features events from both 2020, as well as 2D Events from the 1964 Summer Olympics, which were also held in Tokyo.

Ongeki Plus is an expanded version of the original Ongeki arcade rhythm game, released in Japan in 2019. It introduced a mission system for earning rewards, daily login bonuses, and more flexible story progression by removing chapter order restrictions. The GP system was updated with multiple play modes, and item use (like Jewels) was expanded for better in-game benefits.
