Now you're sitting on a ton of hot truck in the desert, racing toward a heat-rippled horizon dotted with sand traps and tire ripping rocks. And you're wishing you brought more water along for the ride... Off-road racing is a test of speed and survival. First you pick your challenge: The Georgia Mud Fest, The Michigan Winter Wreck-Off, the Death Valley Trek or the Baja Challenge. Then you choose a truck, customize it and stock it with tools. And survival supplies like food and water. Just in case. Those guys in fancy race suits don't use winches to lift rigs out of mud bogs. They don't change tires punctured by razor sharp cacti. And when it snows - they don't even have to race. In Off-road racing these rough and tumble conditions are all part of the exciting challenge!

"Skate or Die!" is a skateboarding game that was first released by Electronic Arts in 1987 for the Commodore 64. As EA's first internally developed title, it was created to capitalize on the success of the Epyx sports games, with inspiration for the game's concept coming from the Atari arcade game "720°". The game allows up to eight players to compete in a series of five different skateboarding events: freestyle ramp, high jump, a downhill race, a downhill jam, and a pool joust. Each event has its own unique challenges and objectives. The game was a commercial success, selling over 100,000 copies, and was ported to a variety of other systems including the Apple IIGS, MS-DOS, and the NES. The game's success led to a winter-themed sequel called "Ski or Die,".

Wizball is a scrolling shooter in similar vein to Gradius with an additional collection dynamic. It is a horizontally scrolling game taking place over eight levels, which involves navigating around a landscape and shooting at sprites. However, the aim of the game is to collect droplets of coloured paint to colour the level. Each level starts off as monochromatic, drawn in three shades of grey, and needs three colours (red, blue, and green) to be collected to complete it. The player, a wizard who has taken the form of a green ball, can navigate between the levels through portals. At first the wizard only has access to the first three levels, but completing levels gains access to further levels. Each level has bouncing spheres of a different colours, and shooting them releases droplets, which may be collected. At the same time, each level needs a different colour to be added, which can be composed by collecting sufficient quantities of the correct colours. On later levels, the spheres of paint start shooting bullets,

His "friends" are nowhere to be seen, and he must somehow escape from his predicament and get even with them. Grindleguts must survive in a world of hostile humans while seeking revenge against his tormentors. After the first chapter, the game switches to science fiction setting where Grindleguts is revelaled to be a malfunctioning non-player character in a futuristic MMORPG. Using his power of transitioning between fantasy and reality, he convinces several other bots to join him, and escapes from the simulated reality facility.

They respond by invading the planet, and it's down to the protagonist to clear up a situation scarily similar to reality in this arcade conversion. Gemini Wing is a vertically-scrolling shoot 'em up, which is distinguished by its unusual power-up system. Instead of gaining occasional tokens which lead to lasting weaponry improvements, occasional flurries of tokens are released to ensure a quick burst of improved fire. The organic backgrounds are detailed, and have many sections which fire at the player character.
