    The 1990s was a decade of great change marked by growing friendships between old enemies and never before seen levels of co-operation between powerful nations of the world. If Rabu is allowed to use Japan's manufacturing facilities, there will be no end to the nightmare. Hoping to protect world peace, the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) heads out to the sea.

    Yo! Noid, known is a 2D action platform game developed by Now Production and published by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was first released in Japan as Kamen no Ninja Hanamaru on March 16, 1990 and was localized in the United States to promote the Noid, the claymation mascot of Domino's Pizza in the late 1980s. The game is also released as part of Nintendo's PlayChoice-10 series and featured in the Japanese TV show GameCenter CX.

    Speedball is a futuristic football-like game which takes place on a steel walled floored pitch, 160 feet long by 90 feet wide. There are two teams, and the team scoring the most goals wins. There is a goal at each end of the pitch and a ball warp tunnels in each side of the wall. The warp tunnels can warp a ball from one tunnel to another. The ball is launched from the center of the pit by the automatic launcher in a random direction. There also bounce domes, off of which the ball will be deflected, but over which players are free to move. This version of the game comes with a much better VGA graphics and Sound Blaster sounds. The game-play is also greatly enhanced.

    Silver Surfer is a shooter game, with some levels taking place vertically and some horizontally. The Surfer's only ability is to move around on the screen and to shoot directly in front of him. Power-ups that can be picked up include: the letter "F" (Firepower) which will increase the number and power of his projectiles, Smart bombs which destroy everything on the screen, the letter "S" (Speedup) which increases the surfer's movement and Orbs which will also fire the Surfer's weapon. Orbs are special in that two can be obtained (only 1 is shown on horizontal scrolling levels) and they can be positioned to fire forwards, backwards or sideways.

    A vertical-scrolling shoot 'em up that configures its difficulty to match the skill of the player. Final Blaster is a vertical scrolling shoot 'em up for the PC Engine. The player is part of squadron of fighters sent to save the world from an alien invasion. Final Blaster hosts a number of features that are distinct to the game: the first is a charge shot that resembles a phoenix and is the only form of projectile that can destroy certain larger enemies. The second is that the game configures its difficulty depending on how many power-ups the player has when finishing a level, or how often they've been destroyed. The game was unique to the PC Engine and did not see an international release outside of Japan. It came out on the same day as W Ring: The Double Rings, another shoot 'em up exclusive to the Japanese PC Engine.

There was a limited edition gold cartridge of the game released. Kyoushuu! Saiyan is also one of the games included in the game compilation J Legend Retsuden for Nintendo 3DS.

    Naious is a horizontally scrolling shoot-em-up. The gameplay is fairly traditional and involves navigating outdoor and indoor stages (often with narrow spaces), destroying mobile and stationary enemies on the way.     Astro Fang: Super Machine is a Family Computer video game that was released for an exclusively Japanese market in 1990. Somewhere in the galaxy lies the planet RS-121 – a desolate planet that has suffered terrible disasters which made life impossible. Only one construction still remains on the planet – a highway called the Black Line. It is said than an ancient legend is somehow connected to this highway. Players must knock enemies off the road by using missiles before they can knock him off the same highway. Automobile repair shops can be found where cars can be repaired and re-supplied with much-needed weapons. The playable vehicle resembles a 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 while the unplayable enemy vehicles resemble dune buggies. The game has an infinite amount of continues and a meter appears on the bottom left-hand side of the screen to remind how close the player is to achieving the goal.

    Fire Hawk: Thexder - The Second Contact is the sequel to Thexder, an amazing game originally developed in Japan and later released to the USA. Fire Hawk: Thexder is well known for its eleven game music tracks, which were of a quality that was relatively unknown for video games released in the late 1990's. Game play consist of the player in the role of a robot battle unit that transforms into a space fighter jet "Fire Hawk" depending on the current action. When battling, the player maneuvers the robot transformer which can levitate and float while firing at enemy objects, creatures, droids and bots in order to clear the room in order to proceed. The robot battle unit transforms into the "Fire Hawk" space ship jet in order to move quickly and to navigate narrow connecting tunnels. Ultimately the goal is to conquer the invading alien species by navigating the catacombs to clear alien enemies and disable the alien mothership. There are 9 different combat missions that must be completed to disable the mothership.
